Create a Galaxy live Lock Screen
A Galaxy Z Fold has different cover- and main-screen shapes. Choose each screen separately to create a video that fits the way you use the phone.

Prepare vertical video for Shorts and Reels

- Fill: crop in closely around the subject
- Fit: keep the full frame with black space
- Blurred background: preserve the frame while extending the background

Frame first, then choose the range
Use drag and zoom in the framing step. In the next step, use one timeline to move to the scene you want and set the start and end.
Review resolution, duration, audio and processing mode before creating the final file.
Apply the result to your Galaxy Lock Screen
Once the video is ready, follow these steps. Menu wording can vary slightly by software version.
- Open the Settings app on your phone.
- Choose Wallpaper and style.
- Tap Change wallpapers to choose a new wallpaper.
- Select Videos from the list.
- Find and select the video you made with Size for me in Gallery.
- Check the preview, then tap Done to apply it to your Lock Screen.
If conversion feels slow
- The first conversion can take longer while the local engine loads.
- Mobile limits are lower than desktop limits to protect memory and heat.
- For long or 4K sources, select a shorter range first.
- Blurred backgrounds need more processing than a normal crop.
- Keeping the browser tab open and closing unused apps can improve stability.
Your original stays on your device
Only My Kit does not upload your video. The result also stays in the current browser until you save or share it, making the workflow useful for personal and unpublished footage.
An observed processing example
During development, we created a 15-second Galaxy Z Fold8 cover-screen clip from a 31.3 MB, 1280×720, 3:01.5 source. The same job took about 5 seconds on a desktop and about 40 seconds on a mobile device.
